Vehicle Description

This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 was imported from Spain to the US by the selling dealer in September 2021. Subsequent refurbishment work included powder-coating and installing a replacement frame, replacing body panels, refinishing the truck in black, fitting heated Corbeau seats upholstered in black leather, and installing a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 mated to a 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission, and a Detroit TrueTrac differentials. Additional modifications include Tom Woods driveshaft, 20” Project Kahn Mondial wheels, air suspension components, Old Man Emu dampers, four-wheel disc brakes, a Project Kahn Wide Body kit, auxiliary lighting, a NAS-style rear bumper, dual sun/moon roofs, air conditioning, a Safety Devices front roll cage, a Masai microsuede headliner, and a Kenwood head unit with a reverse camera.

The body panels were replaced and refinished in Beluga Black before they were fitted over a powder-coated galvanized Defender 90 NAS chassis by Rover Trophy in Connecticut. Exterior details include a Project Kahn Wide-Body kit, an X-Lander grille, a Masai fiberglass scooped hood, diamond-plated trim, auxiliary LED lighting, side steps, a NAS-style rear bumper, an external bolt-in Safety Devices roll cage, quadruple carbon-fiber exhaust tips, and Masai panoramic side and rear windows.

Project Kahn Mondial 20″ wheels feature Land Rover center caps and bronze accents and wear 285/60 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires that were mounted in April 2022. A matching spare is affixed to the swing-out rear tailgate. The truck is equipped with Old Man Emu suspension components, Terrafirma steering rods, and an air suspension with adjustable ride height and a compressor mounted beneath the vehicle. The power steering pump was replaced. Stopping power is provided by LOF four-wheel disc brakes, and the brake servo and master cylinder were replaced in May 2022.

The interior houses heated front Corbeau seats upholstered in black leather, which extends to the Puma dashboard and door panels. Amenities include power windows, a padded center console, air conditioning, a Masai microsuede headliner, a reverse camera, and a Kenwood head unit linked to eight aftermarket speakers.

A MOMO leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Speedhut instrumentation including supplementary gauges, a tachometer, and a 120-mph speedometer with inset coolant temperature and fuel level readouts. The digital odometer shows 3624 miles, which is the present  mileage accumulated since the refurbishment.

The rear cargo area features forward-facing Loc and Fold Exmoor seats trimmed in black leather.

The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed by Rover Trophy during ownership. Features include a fabricated air intake, Rover Trophy branding, a finned oil cooler, bronze-finished fuel rail covers, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The fuel lines and tank were replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission and a Detroit TrueTrac differential that were also installed during the refurbishment. Additional modifications include a Tom Woods driveshaft, a front skid plate, a fuel tank guard, and a MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust system.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Montana from two entries in 2022.

In addition the vehicle has been enhanced by Rover Trophy in March of 2023, with a robust 4-wheel drive system, offering improved traction, stability, and off- road capabilities. This upgrade ensures exceptional performance in challenging terrains and adverse weather condition. Additionally, a 3M paint Protective Film has been applied to safeguard the exterior against scratches, chips, and environmental damage. The film provides a virtually invisible layer of protection, preserving the vehicles paint finish while maintaining its sleek appearance.
